Norwich International Airport

Overview  
Serving the historic Norfolk region of England, Norwich International Airport is a relatively small airport with minimal facilities, however it handles nearly half a million passengers each year with relative ease. Though there are no exciting amenities and the airport has only a few shops and restaurants the entertain passengers with, most travellers report a pleasant experience at Norwich International.  There are plenty of commuter flights to Norwich International Airport from UK airports like Manchester, Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Exeter, and budget carriers offer cheap flights to holiday destinations in Europe like Ibiza, Tenerife, Corfu, Palma de Mallorca and Dalaman.

Location  
The airport is situated 3.2 miles (5.2km) north of the city of Norwich Getting to the city  National Express East Anglia run rail services to Norwich city from London, and the Norwich rail station is located in the city centre. First Eastern Counties Buses offer a service on bus 27 to the airport from the city centre on Sundays and public holidays. The bus goes to Hellesdon during the week, which is within walking distance of the airport. There are also taxi and car rental services available.

Car rental  
Car rental companies operating at the airport include Avis, Hertz and Europcar. Airport Taxis  Norwich Airport Taxis are the official taxi service operating at the airport and the taxi rank is located adjacent to the main terminal building.

Facilities  
There is a cafés and restaurant/bar at the airport, as well as an Eclipse Duty Free outlet and a Skylines store. There is wireless internet access throughout the airport, and Internet desks in the departure lounge. There are also foreign exchange facilities and an executive lounge at the airport.

Parking  
Short-term parking is free for 10 minutes, and then costs £1 for 30 minutes and £3 for each subsequent hour up to £20 per day. Long-term parking is £25 for one day, £28 for two days, £30 for three days, and £5 per additional day. Departure Tax  An airport tax of GBP 10 is levied per adult.
