The Victorian High Country is an area that incorporates small charming villages, alpine ski resorts and some of the most beautiful and spectacular scenery in Victoria.

The main towns, villages and resorts in this region include; Mount Buller, Falls Creek, Mount Beauty, Mount Hotham, Lake Mountain, Mount Baw Baw, Dinner Plain, Mount Stirling and Harrietville. In the winter months, the beautiful mountain peaks are covered in snow and the seven alpine resorts are packed with visitors partaking in skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing, cross-country skiing and snow tubing.

In the warmer months, the region is a popular place for adventure activities such as mountain biking, abseiling, rock climbing, white-water rafting, kayaking, horse riding and bush walking (hiking).
